SourceGrab is a browser extension that captures the source of a web page you choose and bundles it for pasting into an AI. This policy explains, plainly, what it does and does not do with data.
What SourceGrab collects
Nothing. SourceGrab does not collect, store, transmit or sell any personal information or usage data. There are no analytics, no tracking, no accounts and no remote code. The developer never receives any data from your use of the extension.
What stays on your device
When you run a capture, the page's content is read and assembled in your browser and placed on your clipboard or saved as a file by you. It is never sent anywhere by the extension.
Your settings (theme, language, capture options, panel position) are saved only in the visited page's local storage, on your own device.
Permissions, and why
Host access (all sites) — so you can grab whichever page you are on, and so the page's own sub-resources (scripts, CSS, images) can be fetched to build the bundle and the offline .html. Nothing is sent to the developer or any third party.
scripting — only to run the extension on a tab that was already open before it was installed or updated.
contextMenus — to add the right-click "grab this element" item.
Third parties
SourceGrab uses system fonts and makes no network calls of its own, so no data is shared with any third party. Where you paste a captured bundle afterwards (for example into an AI service) is your choice and is governed by that service's own policy.
Children
SourceGrab is a developer tool and is not directed at children.
